Together in Happiness

Creating Supportive Communities for Everyone

Empathy begins with understanding and meaningful action starts by asking the right questions. While we may recognise the signs that someone is struggling, it’s not always easy to know how to offer support.

At Happiness Co, our accredited Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course equips you with the essential skills to recognise when someone may be in distress and most importantly how to respond with confidence and care.

This course empowers you to move beyond hesitation, providing practical tools to support someone when they say, ‘I’m not okay.’ Join us in creating a supportive, proactive community where everyone knows how to look out for one another in times of need.

Develop The Right Skills to Help Someone in Need

Navigating mental health challenges requires more than good intentions, the right skills are essential when offering support. Our Mental Health First Aid course, in association with Mental Health First Aid Australia, provides you with the necessary tools to offer help and guidance effectively.

Throughout this corporate wellbeing course, participants gain insights into managing common mental health issues and crisis situations that can arise throughout life. We cover essential topics such as:

  • Suicidal thoughts & behaviours
  • Substance use problems
  • Non-suicidal self-injury
  • Aggressive behaviours
  • Traumatic events
  • Anxiety disorders
  • Panic attacks
  • Depression
  • Psychosis

By learning how to apply mental health first aid strategies, you’ll be prepared to act confidently and compassionately when someone comes to you for help, enabling you to make a real difference during those difficult moments.

Many Hands Make Light Work

When every team member is equipped with the skills to offer support, you create a culture where care is shared and accessible not just the responsibility of a select few. As the saying goes, “many hands make light work.”

Often, those who need help the most are reluctant to reach out, not wanting to burden those around them. By making mental health support a collective responsibility, individuals feel safer to seek help and those offering support feel confident and capable knowing they have the tools to genuinely assist their teammates.

Recognised & Accredited Mental Health First Aid Program

The Mental Health First Aid workshop delivered by Happiness Co offers more than just valuable skills, it provides official accreditation. Upon completing the workshop and a short assessment, participants receive a certificate from Mental Health First Aid Australia, recognising them as an Accredited Mental Health First Aider.

This nationally recognised qualification is valid for three years and equips individuals with the confidence and tools to provide meaningful support when it’s needed most.

Governance & Policy

Take the lead in mental health governance before it becomes a compliance requirement. Being an early adopter not only sets you apart, it showcases true leadership and a genuine commitment to your team’s mental health and wellbeing.

Don’t wait to be a fast follower when you can drive meaningful change now. Create a healthier, safer and more open working environment for everyone and lead by example.

Becoming an Accredited Mental Health First Aider not only enhances your ability to assist those who may need help but contributes to building a supportive working environment. When employees gain the skills, knowledge, and confidence to speak up, it helps to reduce stigma around mental health and encourages open, supportive conversations in the workplace.

MHFA training can transform your workplace culture by fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where your employees feel safe to open up about situations that may be impacting their life. It equips employees with the skills and confidence to support one another, enhancing overall employee wellbeing and productivity.
