How can you create positive change and growth in 2022?

  1. Ask for support 

Let go of any negativity in your life, while reaching out more to those whose values align with you. Creating strong friendships can be a process, that needs to be nurtured, but there is no age or stage in your life where you aren’t able to put yourself out there and nurture some really strong friendships. 

  1. Take action 

Sometimes when we look at aspirations, they feel too far away to action in the present moment. This can lead to us not reaching those aspirations. Make a list of things you wish to change and aspire to this year, and take small steps NOW to start reaching them.

  1. Make growth a lifestyle choice

Much like going to the gym, personal development is a lifestyle choice. Once you decide, for whatever reason, you want to work on growth and personal development – make it a part of your lifestyle. Let it affect what content you consume, what habits you have and who you surround yourself with. Like any lifestyle choice, it will become a natural instinct to constantly work on growth. 

  1. Invest in yourself

Your potential in the world is endless, and at the end of the day, up to you and what you set out to do. When you realise how crucial it is to invest in yourself, your opportunities will become endless. 

  1. Become self-aware

Become aware of your own habits, weaknesses, strengths, likes, dislikes and motivations. Once you can accept who you are and be okay with it, you can work on personal growth. 

  1. Become invested in learning 

Read, watch, listen and immerse. Is there more you can be doing in your life today to immerse yourself in constantly learning? Whether it be learning about yourself, learning about others, the world around us, areas in your career, or anything else you may be inspired by. 

  1. Face your fears 

Living within our comfort zones can often confine the space of our lives and our potential. When was the last time you did something that scares you? It can invite inspiration, and in the process will develop the strength of your character. 

  1. Live in the moment

Try to worry less about ‘growing for the future and focus on ‘growing for the now’. Although goal setting for the future is working towards a change, there can be immense growth in learning to live in the moment and working on growth for wherever you are now in your life.

  1. Create a dream vision board 

Speaking of the future – dreaming big and setting aspirations for the next couple of years can be a great way to create and stick to your vision. Create a visual dream board and work towards it by taking daily action.
